Through the Space of Representation – Humble Beginnings

My paper this semester is taking a look into the current state of buildings in Auckland with respect to earthquake proneness and what this means for buildings that do not meet the council’s standards. Do they get demolished? Should they be strengthened? Furthermore, the paper will look into the development of the architectural field in New Zealand with respect to the current international movements, and hence one of our key questions going forward is,

Is it possible to go beyond the current state of architecture in New Zealand and to bring us in line with architecture internationally?

The paper should thus be expectedly heavily digitally focused in approach, technique, and representation.
