Similar to a previous post, I was looking at the qualities found in taking horizontal sections through the extruded reaction diffusion models I had produced. But this time, I discovered something fundamentally different to before. In the script, I could determine where the chemicals in the reaction are initialised and are born out of, and by moving these around and testing them, spaces can begin to open up below – something that wasn’t in previous models, but something I’d been trying to achieve for some time now. By further manipulating this aspect, I can understand where there might exist architectural possibility. We’re getting close to the deadline date now though, so I need to hurry.
The below animation shows three different seed variations, but of course the possibilities are far wider than these.
