So I took the model I’d made in the previous animation, and had a bit of a fiddle to see what I could create. The first image was a result of bloating the mesh edges, and the latter is the smoothing result of that bloated mesh.
I like the fragmented look that was achieved in the first render, it reminds me of a crystalline sort of compund made up many tiny triangles. The smoothing result itself is also quite interesting. It looks like a melted down form of the tensile mesh. Interesting – yes. Useful – probably not.
